Had one of these years ago and loved it. Made great popcorn for years before it gave up the ghost. So after living without one for awhile, we decided to get another one.
I don't understand why the same manufacturer has so many different names, models, colors for the same machine. You'll see this when you go on line, but rest assured, they all do the same thing in the same way. This new popcorn machine is essentially the same as our old one that died, except this time we got it in red, for a change of pace.
Only real change I can see, is how the stirring wand is set now seated, so it doesn't scrape the teflon off the base...that's the good news. The bad news is that now seeds and popped corn get jammed under it and the screw that holds the wand in place.
Would have thought that after all these years, they would have found a way to make these both easier to use and clean, but they haven't. Still have to screw off a cap to release the stirring wand, so they can be cleaned. Wash the bottom carefully, it's NOT waterproofed in anyway. The clear bowl seems flimsier than the older one we had, but still does what it's supposed to do.
Bottom line, it makes good popcorn, pretty easily...is a pain to clean...but then, so are just about any popcorn maker. Be careful with the little pieces, they are easy to lose when you take it apart for cleaning. -- Lots of Models...all do the same thing
I had a Stir Crazy about 15 years ago and it worked great. The bowl finally cracked after constant use, so I bought another one. It works just as great and the non-stick coating seems to be much better. It is much easier to clean. I love it. -- Just like old times
love this popcorn popper...it pop all the kernels...and I use peanut oil and the popcorn then put the butter in with the popcorn and oil it comes out great...pop all kernels love the lady finger popcorn very small kernels and it dont burn them...I will never use microwave again so happy to find this product -- great buy
