I'd had one of these poppers for over 2 decades and use it almost every day. The only thing I've ever had to replace are the little paper microwave disc inserts. I'm not a gadget person, but this thing is fabulous because you can totally control the sodium and/or other topping you choose to add. -- 20+ yrs old popper still works like the first time we used it!
